Zack Mitchell is a 3rd generation driver following his dad (Todd) and papa's (Jerry) footsteps right down to the #57 he proudly places on his car. His passion for racing started when he was just 5 yrs old. Zack started racing go karts at local tracks in his hometown area driving a #57 Shadow Kart in the Purple Plate class. Through the years he raced his way in all the plate classes, Purple, Blue, and Gold and won in all divisions up to the age of 10. His karting career included: Buck Creek Speedway Points Championship driver in 2003, Tri-State Points Series Championship winner in 2004, Moore Money Series-Jr. Kahuna Winner in 2005, and winner of the Tri State Series- Jr. Big Dog in 2005.

In 2007 Zack started racing in the Young Guns Division and got his first win in the #57 Toyota Celica at Mileback Speedway and followed that up with another win the next night at Cherokee Speedway. Zack was on his way and pulled in about 8 race wins in his first and only season of racing in the Young Guns Division.
In 2008 only bigger things was yet to come, he started his race season in a Masterbilt Chassis Crate Limited Late Model car. His first race in the Late Model Crate Division was at Cherokee Speedway and pulled in a 6th place finish. His first race win in the Late Crate division was also at Cherokee Speedway just a few weeks later. Zack is the youngest driver ever to win in the Late Crate Division. Throughout the 2008 season Zack had (4) 1st place wins, (5) 2nd place finishes, (5) 3rd place finishes and (3) 5th place finishes. Zack definatley showcased himself as a great driver in his first season of the Late Model Crate Division.

2009 was a great year of racing in the Crate & Super Late Model Divisions for Zack. Zack has raced at all the local tracks such as Travelers Rest Speedway, Cherokee Speedway, Cleveland County Speedway, Union County Speedway, and Chester County Speedway. Zack pulled in 10 Crate Model wins and his 1st ever Super Late Model win. Along with 11 race wins Zack had 19 Top 5 finishes.

2010 will start a whole new phase for his race accomplishments. Zack is focusing on the Super Late Model Division which will take him a step furthur in his dirt racing goals. So look forward to seeing Zack running with a whole new field of talented drivers. Zack plans to race the Southern AllStar East Series in 2010.

Off the track Zack loves to ride 4 wheelers, Play X-Box, and work on his racecar. He is currently a student at Woodruff Middle School in the 8th grade. Zack is very passionate about racing and is setting high goals for his future.
